Pirates of the High Seas Fest in Panama City Beach
• Pirates and Wenches Adult Costume Contest (6:00 p.m.)
Lively music fills the air as contestants dressed in ornate and colorful costumes reminiscent of yore compete for a handsome reward.
• Pet Costume Contest (6:00 p.m.)
Scruffy scallywags take the stage to display their pirate garb in a chance to capture the bounty.
• Second Line Parade led by Krewe of Dominique Youx (7:00 p.m.)
Mardi Gras style parade led by a vivacious jazz band and local organization celebrating the age of piracy.
• Beach Ball Drop (8:00 p.m.)
More than 7,000 inflatable beach balls will create a sea of excitement as they fall from the sky onto the streets of Pier Park.
Saturday, October 8
• Run for the Treasure (8:00 a.m.)
Landlubbers will stretch their legs at pirate-themed 5K and Half Marathon hosted by the Girl's Inc. of Bay County at Aaron Bessant Park.
• Children's Costume Contest, Face Painting and Balloon Making (noon – 1:30 p.m.)
Exciting activities presented just for petite pirates.
• Lookout for pirates in the Gulf of Mexico (2:00 p.m.)
The Midnight Princess and Sea Dragon ships sail the waters of the Gulf, planning their siege of the city.
• Pirate Raid at Panama City Beach City Pier (3:00 p.m.)
Anchored offshore, the pirates invade City Pier, followed by a children's parade.
• Main Pirate Parade (4:30 p.m.)
Royal pirates from the Krewe of Dominique Youx strut the streets alongside winners of costume contests, followed by street performers and screening of pirate movies.
• Dueling Fireworks Show (9:00 p.m.)
