"Splash Bash" Big Hit With Guests! Festivities began with D.J. Big Jim Lawson playing a mix of songs that parents and kids both enjoyed, especially during D.J. games. Parents and kids alike danced all over Aqualand with the SunSpree staff leading the way. Pirates came out splashing and laughing with the guests and handing out swords to all the young buccaneers. “Splash” the dolphin mascot came out to say hello and have his picture taken with his fans. As much as the guests loved the pirates and “Splash” they stopped splashing and playing as soon as the cake arrived. The large cake lasted only minutes with this crowd; every birthday celebration deserves a cake, even if it is for a water playground! Despite filling up with cake everyone was still hungry enough to participate in the watermelon eating contest. Groups of all different ages, from the five year olds to the moms and dads devoured cold refreshing watermelons with the crowd cheering them on. “Splash Bash” will continue every Saturday through the entire month of September; all guests of the SunSpree during this time are invited to join in the fun.
